Without brunch, the morning after a big ol' production like New Year's Eve can be rough. Luckily, we have Toast to quench our cravings of eggs, potatoes and mimosas and help get us through the rest of the day...
Not surprisingly, we weren't the only ones with this idea, and had to wait quite some time for our eggs... Our little neighborhood spot was one of the few places open in the city!
40 minutes later, there weren't too many smiles going around...
So, we took matters into our own hands and ventured to the nearest corner store for - you guessed it- orange juice and champagne!
Happy campers all around!
After that, the time flew by and before we knew it, we were seated!
Cheers! To surviving the hour and a half wait!
As a wise woman once told me, "It's okay to think orange juice tastes funny without champagne"

After a round of mimosas, a magical thing happened; There was a flurry of arms and plates, and suddenly the table was filled with an abundance of eggs, potatoes, pancakes, and toast!
What a feast!
With a brunch like this, the morning after was almost as great as the night before!
I was beyond happy to kick off the new year with such a great group of friends and seriously wouldn't have wanted it any other way! xo
