Friday night left us feeling a little worse for wear the next morning. Food needed to happen and stat! Many ideas were thrown out but it all came down to Sauce on Hampton in Venice (on Hampton)...
When there are tables (and people) outside, you know it's a good sign. And look at that sweet little pup!
Not entirely sure what they're looking at... maybe other peoples' food?
This is the face of someone who needs food like... YESTERDAY:
There are few things better than that feeling of finally being seated and perusing the menu, knowing you are this close to having bomb food in front of you...
Loved this charming little array of hot sauce...
Oooooh hot coffee....
So, so good...
I got a fried egg sandwich, Ian got a brekky burrito and we had a little sharing situation going on...
Too bad I literally didn't photograph ANYONE else's food but mine... Oooops! #HungryProbs
The bill came with some positively delish little cookies!
After brekky, we convened and it was decided that we cruisey cruise around Venice for the day!
...The amount of Where's Waldo comments I got... Oyyy
Ian snappin for the insta...
Drugs in Venice... #Standard

The famous fish taco place from I Love You Man !!
Loved all these wetsuits being left out to dry... Such a little beachtown...
Do you think she has enough churros?? Looks like Ian's vying for one...
Lords of Dogtown comin through...
This rollerblader is infamous... He's been bladin' these parts for years!
Suuuuper legit operation going down here...
Some pretty impressive sand art...
Biking on the beach :)
We came across the cuuuutest little French bulldog pup!
He was totally down for some lovin'...
Then I had another #MajFail... I popped in to G2 Gallery on Abbot Kinney to visit one of my best friends from college and didn't take a single pic... not one!!! Did I mention this was a rough day?
She sent me this pic of my fave photograph in her gallery... Meet, Sifaka!!
Back at Codie and Megan's, we had a BBQ!! I absolutely LOOOOVE barbecues and grilled foods and have missed them all dearly up in the constantly overcast bay! So I was pretty stoked for this.
First up, some asparagus all prepped and ready for the grill...
Burgers getting seasoned...
Megan working on the onions...
Brewskis!
Wooohoo, grill time!!
I begged Ian to not wear his pants so high, even went so far as to threaten to post these pics on the blog (aren't I lovely), but clearly it didn't work so this is me making good on my threats...
Such a yummy meal, all grilled to perfection thanks to Codie!
We ended the weekend with a nightcap at a super cute little 20s themed bar downtown...
Right down this alley is The Edison...
You walk down the stairs and it's kind of like stepping back in time to the raucous and roaring prohibition era...
Complete with burlesque dancers!
Ian got himself and Codie a couple of Old Fashions...
(of course)
And a glass of champagne pour moi...
(of course)
It was such a fun weekend and felt so good to spend time with so many close friends and fam! It felt like we were back in this horrid line all too soon..
:(
But thankfully, we were only in the airport for the appropriate amount of time this go around!
xoxo
